Herringbone Oak parquet floor

We fitted to Herringbone Oak floor from stories flooring. We decided not disturb the previous tiles as they were lived in the 1980s and could contain asbestos, That opens up a whole can of worms so therefore we fitted the F ball stock gap primer and self levelling compounds which has a very low buildup.

The trick with this flooring is to lay the central column and then go away until it has gone off, otherwise the elasticity in the glue makes the job much harder

Parquet floor, we advise laying the first two aisles of the product, then leaving it to go hard before carrying on.

How much does it cost to lay a parquet floor? The following cost are per square metre.

  • Self levelling compound £15
  • Floor material £50
  • Glue £10
  • Labour £90-£150
