This is going to be a really exciting project delivering the customers vision for their property from an old property.
The first week has seen us remove the current wallcoverings, ceilings, skirting and architraves.
We have identified that the property has 2 consumer units fitted, a legacy from when it was previously 2 flats, the wiring does look in need of attention generally so we are looking at getting a new single consumer unit that meets modern regulations. In the UK, domestic consumer units must comply with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Key requirements include non-combustible (steel) enclosures to contain fire, mandatory Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) to protect electronics, and individual RCD protection for shock risks.
